The force is strong for Star Wars and the box office. Yeah, that's the best opening sentence I can conjure without including the article title. It seemed very likely The Force Awakens would surpass $2 billion worldwide after an incredible opening weekend. Racing to the feat in 53 days is pretty darn amazing, especially during December/January. It's possible The Force Awakens will remain in plenty US theaters until it's Blu-ray release in spring. The box office number will continue to rise, but likely falling short to Titanic's worldwide gross during this theatrical run. However, a club that was exclusive to James Cameron now welcomes JJ Abrams. Quite a feat for Star Wars and everyone involved.
