Kraken Con Spring 2016 Preview

Kraken Con returns on April 23rd and 24th! The 2-day convention also returns to the Oakland Convention Center after a unique Kraken Con experience on the USS Hornet last September. The venue is such a nice fit for Kraken Con. I hope it stays here, unless it requires a bigger space after this one. Covering this event is always fun since it's one that I've seen grow each time. It caters to a wide audience -- maybe a slightly stronger emphasis on anime and video games.

Early bird attendee registration is still open right now. It's $30 for both days. Children age 10 and under are free with paid adult. Single day registration is only available at the door ($25 for Saturday, $20 for Sunday). Definitely register online if you plan on going the whole weekend.

Special guests this time around include Karen Strassman (Ever After High, Fire Emblem), Carrie Keranen (Kill la Kill, Star Wars: Battlefront), Michaela Dietz (Steven Universe), Colleen Clinkenbeard (Borderlands, One Piece), Steph Dere (artist), Genevieve Tsai (artist), Svetlana Chmakova (artist/author), and many more.

I look forward to the Kraken Con experience once again. Collecting the Kraken Cards for participating in certain things are nice to get. Of course I'll be taking pictures of everything. Kraken Con is usually one of the bigger photo albums I have each year. I'm curious to see to the cosplay crowd, which should be an awesome turnout. I hope to see y'all there! :)
