It was another great Sac Con event at the McClellan Conference Center on Sunday (second Sac Con at this location). There was plenty going on throughout the day that made Sac Con an enjoyable full day experience. The crowd was great, and it felt consistently busy inside the building. I always enjoy the long hallway stroll to the vendor room -- it's the number one spot to bump into friends and familiar faces. You know what hallway I'm talking about if you've been to Sac Con's newest location.
Don Bluth & Gary Goldman |
Guests Jim Starlin, Don Bluth, Gary Goldman and John Pomeroy had long autographs lines during their signing sessions. The open space around near their tables accommodated the lines. I didn't get to talk long with Don Bluth, but did get to chat about the Kickstarter for Dragon's Lair: The Movie. The guests that come to Sac Con cover such a variety (comics, movies, television, animation), and that's one of the big reasons why I enjoy this convention.
This is an event that I recommend checking out at this venue, especially if you like comics and toys. It's a nice location that is sort of right off the freeway. The next Sac Con will be on March 12th and 13th -- a whole weekend next time. I will definitely be there!
I have a good amount of pictures to share from this event. The photo albums will be available for viewing on the Nerd Gazette Facebook page and Flickr. Check them out! Enjoy! :)
