PLUSH at Bottom of the Hill

This is part two of a three part series for the show at Bottom of the Hill on April 16th. Performing was Jay Som, PLUSH, and headliner Diet Cig. :)

Say hey to PLUSH. Making the night super unique was the record release of Please, their new EP. It was technically an early release since it officially comes out tomorrow. Watching PLUSH perform songs from the album was pretty fun. The "sob rock" sound is super chill, slightly kind of like Jay Som, but no crying on my end. There was a technical setback with Eva's microphone. A song or two later Eva had a broken string, but Alex from Diet Cig offered up one of her guitars to keep the music going. True MVP moment. Great music beginning to end, and it felt like it was the longest set of the night.

The Please EP can be found over at Father/Daughter Records on cassette and digital. It's totally worth the $4 or $5. I still haven't caught the modern cassette bug, mostly because I'm into vinyl. I guess I'm waiting for the EP to have a vinyl release, but there is no wind of that ever existing yet.

Check out some more pictures below. I'll have more pictures of PLUSH on Facebook and Flickr soon. Enjoy! :)
