Moana | Big Golden Book Review

Moana | Big Golden Book

Disney's next big animated flick, Moana, is coming to theaters next month. Golden Books put together the basic story into their Little and Big formats. This particular one will focus on the Big version. This book uses neat background patterns and borders throughout the book. It's an interesting layout that was also used for Zootopia earlier this year.

Without giving away anything too critical – I feel like this story captures my interest more than any other recent Disney princess title because it focuses on a culture that I care so much about. How it's handled in this children's book is rather respectful. There is the feel good type adventure vibe that Moana's general story gives off too. So this whole exploring the South Pacific thing has me hooked. Disney approached the antagonist thing in a clever way, but it's not quite easy to explain without getting into detail.

Check out the video below for the complete reading of this Big Golden Book. There are obviously spoilers throughout, so only tune in if you want to have a grasp on what will happen in Moana. Enjoy! :)
